May 25, 2012 - Javik's a douchebag, huh? Please tell me this, how would you feel if you one day wake up to find that your species has been dead for 50,000 years, and have cats and dogs talking to you and ordering you around? I know that I would pretty pissed if I was being ordered around by what I used to call primitives 5 minutes prior to waking up......

May 24, 2012 - Javik was a fun character while its ot a game breaking decision especially when he's a minor story element in ME3. You might have a point if Javik was designed as a key story element or had a role similar to the previous characters like Garrus.

May 24, 2012 - I don't see the big deal with the DLC since Kasumi was originally a core crew member in ME2 and I didn't hear a small uproar about that. For the most part people did miss a small amount of the story without Javik and either way people got the Prothean VI. I also don't see the problem with DLC adding DLC since its the norm for video games while it was also done with ME1 and ME2.
blueprotoss18 Says:
May 24, 2012 - Actually you technically do pay extra for movies especially when its an "Unrated", "Collectors", "Extended", or "Director's Cut" edition.
PerfectSSJ4 Says:
May 24, 2012 - Am i the only one who sorta laughs when he hears a mass effect game's "Collector Edition". I always think "THEIR BACK?!"

May 24, 2012 - Your all muppets, play minecraft instead and get free dlc hahahahahahahahahahaha and did I mention hahahahahahahahahahaha. Greed will consume you all and send your primitive race into a early extinction.
krish698 Says:
May 24, 2012 - Why? Because you get Liara back on Normandy? or was it the car chase level?
LordAziki Says:
May 23, 2012 - Storyline should never have to be bought in any game. It's, in my opinion, one of the most important features of most great games. If a movie in a series was released at full price and you had to pay an extra $20 to see a major turning point, how many people would bother paying to see it?
yuiidragon Says:
May 22, 2012 - Javik and the Shadow Broker are the DLCs I don't think I could do without.

May 21, 2012 - Wait till you play the ending.

0doral Says:
May 21, 2012 - And in addition, assuming the DLC didn't change the image, everyone got to see a Prothean anyway without buying the DLC. The VI that you find on Thessia shows what they actually look like. People missed a bit of story, but that's about it. You could also view this as EA trying to raise the prices of games in an acceptable way. Rather than charging $70 to everyone who wanted ME3, and losing some customers, they made some perhaps crucial revenue of those with more disposable income.
0doral Says:
May 21, 2012 - The slippery slope argument is a poor one. While I would definately boycott a game that holds back key content, or goes "pay-to-win", it was fairly obvious what this content was going to be ahead of time. It was a little bit of fanservice for longtime players and it allowed EA to make a little bit extra. I was willing to pay $10 to not only see a Prothean, but reward the dev that made my favorite game series. I understand his reasoning, but slippery slope has always been a poor argument.
HotaruZoku Says:
May 21, 2012 - Cont. from below Aquessing here signals humanity is tolerant of well-known, public scarcity creation, perpetuation, and enforcment. This leeway can go no where anyone not profiting with the company would consider stepping up, as is. If there were a drug used to tag urine such that treatment plants only cleaned it once, it'd be torn down In record time. At least I hope so.
HotaruZoku Says:
May 21, 2012 - You make points well, and it's a relief to hear an opinion that doesn't involve screaming. We agree, mainly. The new copy push via "Cerberus Network", etc. I just don't care. Man-made man-enforced Scarcity is jacked enough as-is. I have no slack for people who hold the self-respect of thier own income stream in sufficent contempt to do so -openly-. It's good for the bottom line. My father owns and operates his own business. It's all bottom line. I get that. Aquessing here signals human
c4cypher Says:
May 20, 2012 - Critical to the plot or otherwise, the core point is the fact that they are now charging extra for day 1 content. It sets a precedent. And that's not something I want to support, as badly as I want this game.
XxXVideoVeiwerXxX Says:
May 20, 2012 - Why haven't they went to court about game retailers not sharing used game profit?
DrBlakenstein Says:
May 20, 2012 - yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeesssssssssssssssssss
mjnoir1 Says:
May 20, 2012 - i will have to disagree with you about javik because if you care about the mass effect universe then his story is very important in terms of they mythology. Making him DLC pretty much fragments the story in mass effect. also brings up the question since javik is optional is his story and what happend to him cannon or not?
mjnoir1 Says:
May 20, 2012 - in this case buying new got you nothing. You were almost better off buying the game used and say FU to bioware and EA. I got the game new at a discount. I took advantage of a promotion. plus i sold my online pass because i don't play online multiplayer games for the most part.
IMB2U Says:
May 20, 2012 - Yes, it was an amazing DLC. But just like the Arrival DLC, it should have been involved in the retail version as they both were an important part of the story.
ConVinko11 Says:
May 20, 2012 - The DLC was not complete in the DVD...they made the DLC after the gold-version of the game was finished...so its not really like they cut content from the game and put it into a DLC
Crazybernard2k11 Says:
May 20, 2012 - Lol Mass efect is like £20 know
Brutalyte616 Says:
May 20, 2012 - They're not asking them to give them a product for nothing, anyone who does is an idiot and a spoiled little brat. They're asking that they let them use what they already legally own instead of making us pay more just to use it. I could ask 1000 people who don't even know what Mass Effect is and they'd all say "The company is just greedy." I don't even own a copy ME3 myself and I still think this is wrong. If you can say otherwise then you are lying piece of trash.
ItsaNonsense Says:
May 20, 2012 - Shadow Broker is the most amazing DLC ever.
