Jan 15, 2011 - The Alexander Stone version grows on you after a while--of course the Ron Grainger ork version is the BEST! Bradford was the coolest ex-spy/PI of them all!

Nov 12, 2010 - i was used to watch that series many years after its first TV broadcasting. I clearly remember the third version as the opening theme. Perfectly dubbed in italian (the voice it's the same) But I've always thought his name was McGee ... like the way it sounded to me :-)

Jun 19, 2010 - I notice in the credits the TV stalwarts of the time: Anton Rodgers, Norman Rossington and Mike Pratt (who was always the baddie) and became Randall in Randall and Hopkirk.

May 10, 2010 - The longer I listen to the first version, the more I slip in some eldritch form of trance... :) Like a glass of dram that needs continously another fill.

Jul 24, 2009 - From what I can pick up I think its: "He works alone for people unknown Travel, fights as private eye!" But you could be right. I can't pick out the lyrics in the first verse: "He's on the something all over the nation" This song may be unclear but it is like you said hilarious! :)

MacGrurry Says:
May 28, 2009 - i love the first version. i have the lyrics somewhere. they make no sense really. meaning the guy who sang it was either rushed or didn't speak English as his first language; "He walks alone for people unknown, Trouble!!! Finds this private eye!!!" hilarious
