May 22, 2012 - So /that's/ what ended up happening to the whole Ivalice Alliance thing. I figured it had been dropped and forgotten. Didn't know the guy behind it left SE.

May 21, 2012 - Yeah, you're right, but did you have to be so aggressive about it?

May 4, 2012 - Wow, where do I start? There is no "randomness". Cloud Strife was an intentional add-on since FF7 was released around the same time as Tactics. Beowulf is not a reference to ANY movie. ANY. It is a reference to the old English hero Beowulf. He is a counter to Wiegraf, who is actually a corruption of Wiglaf (from the same legend). From my best guess, you are still IN your younger years.

May 4, 2012 - 10/10 game definately. They don't make them like this anymore. Good story, great music and fun battles. What more do you need...
Ray Man Says:
May 1, 2012 - I wished that they made a sequel!!! Oh and I love the randomness in this game like you can get Cloud Strife from FF7 in this game. Also Beowulf, the dragon hunter who joins your party is actually a reference to movie Beowulf who defeated Grendel. This game along with Chrono Cross are the 2 PS1 games that impacted my young years. BTW this song kicks ASS!

Apr 30, 2012 - But that misses the whole POINT of FFT. Its story is bent on telling history from a point of view from someone who wasn't "Important", historically speaking. FFT is all about how a man, forgotten in history, is the true hero of events; not the man (Delita) that history has chosen as its champion.
TeamIzlude Says:
Apr 30, 2012 - That's true. According to the timeline, the events of all these more modern games set in Ivalice take place in the far, far past. If I recall correctly, Mustadio is the direct descendent from one of the main characters from FF12 (the sky pirate, though his name escapes me).
Xxandrew01 Says:
Apr 24, 2012 - True which is why 12 is not in my faveorite books of FF.

Apr 24, 2012 - ahhh the times when battling envoilved to take wise decision and harde choises...not to run at your enemy and hack and slash the hell outa them....old ff games are the best..

Apr 18, 2012 - i gotta agree I had more games in the older generation. Their are good games for the current consoles but not as much as before. Capcom and Square enix have kinda of gone down hill.
YinsShadow Says:
Apr 15, 2012 - I didnt play those to be honest. I couldn't even stand the characters. but by judging this conversation and where you're going, im inferring you mean to say that because a game is more recent that it will never be as good as older games. Simple matter of the fact is shitty and great games will stretch through all times, with some variations. square enix doesn't seem to be able to live up to squaresoft and enix's mantle, but they're appealing to a new audience now it seems.
finalfantasy8911 Says:
Apr 15, 2012 - Never got to FF13-2, but FF13's story was excellent; although it was a bit complicated; & DID make sense.
Xxandrew01 Says:
Apr 14, 2012 - I like FFT better then any FF even FFIX because its just has this real story but in terms if which one i love best in the mainstream story well IX infact IX is better then FFX which was shitty.
Xxandrew01 Says:
Apr 14, 2012 - May i ask why FF13 and FF13-2 had a fucked up story? since nothing made since at all.
